Unplug it and wait five minutes. Then, plug it in and see if it will power up. This resets the telly. If it still doesn't power on, then contact the company---your manual will...

My t.v. will not turn on and I called to ask about it and was told it was immediately told it was motherboard. I am guessing they already know they are selling *** to people. There should be a recall since there are so many people with the same complaint.

I be given the hisense 32 inch tv by the house owner because we rent the house and I been using this product for 6 months . In 20/1/17 suddenly when I open the tv there the tv is open a nd close itself and there is horizontal line and the picture can't be seen . I urge the customer not to buy this product unless the hisense replace it with the new one

I purchased the 40 inch 4 weeks ago and the screen is blank flashing from white to orange to green to blue. Called the company and after going through the troubleshooting over the phone i was told to take a pic and email it to Hisense. They told me it would be a week for a technician to get back to me.

As you found out, Hisense is an unreliable, but cheap brand. Best buy a major brand telly like Sony, RCA, Panasonic, etc.
