Got E9 code. Turned off unit then unplugged it.
Then pressed and held down power button for 30 seconds.
After I plugged it back in and turned it on AUTO. Works again.
My 1st Hisense unit froze up and was replaced after 15 months of use. They sent me another unit under warranty and now I have the E9 error code.
I have used it for 27 months. I can bet you that they will say, "out of warranty." If they do, I will never but another Hisense anything.
Same here. Mine lasted 29 months.
Hisense DH50K1W.
Has anyone had a good experience with this unit. Complaints are rampant.
My Hisense was one month out of warranty when the E9 error code came up. They said have it serviced.
Right, that would cost more than a new one. Tried to order the part but the parts folks do not even know what it is.
Really? Not impressed with the product, their customer service or their parts provider.
I agree, the Hisense is less than wonderful and their customer service is of no use
i have 3 Toshiba dehumidifers they run well. i have 1 Hisense its not working !
it runs and fan workks but doesnt make condensate?
air is never warm... whats the deal pickle????
I purchased 2 new dehumidifiers 6 months ago. One kept running so they sent me a replacement.
The replacement was a refurbished unit and the service guy I spoke with insisted I accept that in place of a brand new unit. I refused and called Lowe's. They were gracious enough to give me a new unit which appears to be running without problems after 6 months. Now the second unit is sending an E9 code which apparently is a Humidity Sensor error.
I can't wait to see how Hisense handles this complaint. NEVER ANOTHER HISENSE PRODUCT!!!
I have a GE humidifier that has worked for many many years. Then I bought two Hisense (from Costco) and a Whirlpool dehumidifier.
So I had four dehumidifiers running in my house. One Hisense and the Whirlpool dehumidifier went bad after operating very well for little over a year.
The Hisense has an E9 code. Looking at all the negative comments here and based on my experience, I probably will not be buying a Hisense again.
Wow..it appears I am not alone with Hisense issue. I have my receipt and it was purchased on 8/4/18 and spent over $300.
The e9 code appeared a few days ago, shortly after the auto-pump began to fail. Now, the unit is not working at all!!!
Mine just hit two years old. E9 error.
Doesnโt seem worth fixing. Disappointing
I have the same E9 code problem as everyone else. After reading all the complaints about this company I'm just going to buy another brand.
Hisense makes no sense; especially when all you're going to do is get more frustrated by trying to deal with them. Sooner or later they'll be belly up.
Also E9 error code. Phone rep said it is probably the humidity level sensor.
Mine was exactly 2 years old. Said to take it to local technician !!! There is no local technician.
This company does not back up its products and basically says I am on my own. I do not recommend this de-humidifier and most likely other Hisense products.
Mine has the same E9 code
Hisense dehumidifier is very poor quality. Mine is only 2yrs old.
1 month over the warranty and cus service won't even offer a discount on a new one being that it was only a month out of warranty. I wish I would have researched this brand more.
There are no positives on this brand. It really is JUNK!!!!!
One year and a E9 code comes up. Blew it out.
Worked for a day.
Now E9 code again. The last model I had lasted 30 years.
Same model, same error. They want a receipt even though I registered it online.
DO NOT buy this product. Itโs a complete pos
Couldn't agree more!
I purchased the Hisense DH790KP1WG dehumidifier on 6/6/2018 and it made it through 1 summer with issues last year not collecting water, not have an e-9 error code on digital display. Paid $298.88 for the unit. No service or way to repair according to their service department.
Another E9 victim. This was a replacement unit .It failed at 25 months...Basically told TS..Would never buy Hisense again
Model DH50KP1WG: piece of junk. Hisense replaced one unit because it failed after 18 months.
The replacement unit lasted about 12 mths.
Error code 9. 2 units in less than 3 yrs.
